ITHUBA LOTTERY (RF) (Pty) Ltd is a newly established South African company, officially appointed to operate the National Lottery under a temporary licence effective until 31 May 2026. The company is privately owned and registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), in line with the South African Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008.
ITHUBA LOTTERY (RF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zamani Equity Fund, a black-owned investment group that has demonstrated a strong track record in managing and delivering large-scale national operations. Zamani Equity Fund previously established Zamani Gaming to pursue opportunities in the gaming sector, which led to the creation of Ithuba Holdings RF (Pty) Ltd—awarded the Third National Lottery Licence in 2015. The formation of ITHUBA LOTTERY (RF) marks a continuation of this legacy, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and operational excellence for the National Lottery while a permanent licence process is underway.
