Building a Future of Opportunity
The ITHUBA Bursary Programme has made it possible for ambitious, high-achieving learners from previously disadvantaged
backgrounds to access fully funded tertiary education opportunities. The bursary covers all essential academic needs,
including:
- Full tuition
- Accommodation
- Study materials and stationery
- A laptop
- A monthly stipend
Fields of Study
The programme focuses on developing skills in critical and high-demand sectors, specifically: Commerce: Accounting,
Finance, Marketing, and Management Accounting, Information Technology: Computer Science, Information Systems,
Software Development, and Communication Networks
Applications Reopening Soon
Applications for the next bursary cycle will open soon. We encourage learners in Grade 12 who meet the minimum criteria to prepare the following:
Minimum Requirements:
- 70% average per subject and overall
- Provisional admission to a South African tertiary institution
- Certified copy of SA ID and guardian(s)’ ID
- Proof of guardian’s income (not exceeding R350,000 per annum)
- Most recent academic results
- Provisional acceptance to student residence or private accommodation
- A motivational letter on why you deserve the bursary and how you will contribute to your community
